NCIL Accessibilty Services Available:
General information, or a referral to another resource, is provided over the phone on architectural accessibility guidelines for public buildings, private homes & private businesses.

  • Formal access surveys are generally provided on a fee for service basis and include the following:
  • An on-site evaluation/assessment of architectural barriers for places of public accommodations using revised Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Accessibility Guidelines or UFAS (Uniform Federal Accessibility Standards) evaluation methods. Assessments of private homes, through long-term care programs such as FamilyCare or IRIS, are also available.
  • A written report of findings and recommendations for potential barrier removal are provided for formal assessments.
  • Follow up as needed.
